Georgeann Brown and her company, un coup de main, are here to give you a helping hand (the English translation
of the French idiom). Not only will you learn the fundamentals of food preparation in a casual, hands on
atmosphere, but you will learn how and where to shop for the freshest, seasonal ingredients at your local
markets.

In addition to studying under world renowned chefs in the US, Ms Brown has traveled extensively through
Europe studying the art of Mediterranean cooking, the people, and their cultures. Each time Georgeann returns
home, she brings back a market bag full of new ideas and recipes she enthusiatically shares with her family,
friends, and audiences. It is this that Georgeann longingly hopes to share with you in her
un coup de main kitchen.Though much of her art has been gleaned from cooking schools in France and Spain, Georgeann is familiar with many delectable cuisines that will help encompass the many classes she will offer throughout the year. Come to one class, come to all and be nurtured through her gift of cooking by using fundamental techniques. Giving a helping hand is what defines Georgeann Brown's inique style of teaching in the kitchen. In her heart of hearts, she believes and lives by the following: Living well and eating well happens when you cook well. You will choose the proper seasonal herbs for each dish from her extensive culinary herb garden. Since she
has been an active member of the Maumee Valley Herb Society for the last 15 years, working in the herb garden
at Toledo Botanical Garden, you know her garden will be a treat to behold. It might even spur you to create
your own herb garden.
Georgeann has been catering and teaching the art of cooking in Southeastern Michigan and Northwestern Ohio
since moving from the Chicago area. Her catering business has been a huge success in influential homes because
of her delicious , innovative food and stunning presentations. You will find her teaching style to be not
only informative, but extremely entertaining.
